Application/Background
Digoxin is a cardiac glycoside used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and supraventricular arrhythmias. It has a narrow therapeutic window of 0.8- 2.0 ng/mL with a potential fatal toxicity. Therefore, frequent therapeutic drug monitoring is needed. The Aquamax-Digoxin conjugate can be effectively used in the assays requiring real sample analysis, and more importantly, no pretreatment of the samples is required.
Dose-response curve for digoxin in serum In a solid-phase immunoassay using the Aquamax-Digoxin conjugate a detection limit of 1 x 10-12 with a dynamic range of four orders of magnitude was obtained (1).
